At the Atascadero Elks, we have a variety of activities going on in our lodge each week. From BBQs and meals, to our social quarters, to concerts, to games…we sponsor activities to suit all tastes and interests.
And, since this is your lodge, if you don’t see something you like, then come to the lodge meeting and make a pitch. If it’s something that other members may like, there’s a good chance we’ll support your ideas.
At the Elks, we serve the community…but we also know how to have fun. In our Social Quarters, you can enjoy the friendship of fellow Elks members while enjoying a cool beverage.
Open most days, our social quarters is available for members to enjoy throughout the week.
Elkettes are volunteers who are an Elk, Spouse of an Elk, or a Widow or Widower of an Elk. The group meets several times per year at the lodge, With the goal to raise money and buy things for the lodge. The Elkettes have been instrumental in helping our lodge aquiring important items to help the lodge function better.
Examples of purchases include a new slicer for the kitchen! Also, the Elkettes raised money to buy a new top for the salad bar, topping bowls and ladles.
Our Elks Camping group, The Roadrunner’s, was started when the lodge began in 1987. Many Charter members had RV’s and enjoyed camping, so it was a natural fit.
We have 44 campers in our club now. To join the Roadrunners, you must be a member in good standing or an Associate member. We try to have around 5-7 campouts a year.
Dues are $30.00 a year and you need to attend at least one campout in a year. There is a $25.00 application fee for a new member which includes name tags and a sticker.
If interested in joining just contact one of the leaders of the committee: Chairperson, David Martin, Wagon Master, or Susan Jones, Secretary or Carol Morgan, Treasurer.
You come as our guest one time and if you like what you see, come a second time to be voted on, then start paying Roadrunner membership dues.
